Nero D'Avola 2003, Giordano Vini

Wine type: Full Bodied
Country and Region: Italy, Sicily
Colour: Red
Category: Every day drinking

Nero D'Avola

Appearance: The colour of this wine is deep red and the age is beginning to show in the rim which has started to turn brick colour. Nose: Intense fruit aromas of dried figs and rasins. There is also a hint of vanilla. Palate: Fruity, full bodied with soft well integrated tannins. The wine is well balanced and has a pleasant after taste.

Conclusion: Perfect wine for everyday drinking. It would go particularly well with red meat dishes or flavourfull white meat dishes. Try it with Rabbit stew or with spicy food. This wine is reaching its peak and would not benefit from further aging.
